Scientific Interests and Goals:
As a marine biologist I am interested in marine food webs and marine ecology. During my Bachelor thesis I investigated the life cycle of an eukaryotic planktonic microorganism (Fragilariopsis kerguelensis) and I can very well imagine continuing the study of planktonic organisms. Furthermore during MarMic, I have discovered my interest in deep sea marine microbiology as well as tropical marine microbiology.
