2010-2012
M.Sc. in Microbiology.
National University of Colombia, Colombia. Thesis: Cell to cell communication and phylogenetic structure of bacterial communities associated with two Caribbean reef-building coral species affected by White Plague Disease
2012- current
PhD MarMic student at Max Planck Institute, Bremen, Germany.
Scientific Interests and Goals:
I am particularly attracted to bacterial gene regulation and how this is determining fundamental aspects in the ecosystem. One example of this is the bacterial cell to cell communication to synchronize bacteria gene expression to reach the homeostasis during symbiotic relations.
